He was the first musician to master an entire musical genre. There was not a piece of the classical style that he could not play or compose perfectly. Most people know this. Few people know this: Mozart was a master student. His dad was a big-wig in music. The family partied like the (Ozzie) Osbourne's. This really opened doors for Amadeus. He studied with Bach, Hayden, and other contemporary masters. He toiled for very long hours every day. This is how the truly great stock & option traders started. This is how I started. I am giving you the masterful guidance now that I never had when I started. And like Amadeus I have learned from the greats. Take for instance William J. O’Neil. He started as a stock broker and rose to fund manager. This gave him access to the trading records of other great managers. He noticed that the Dreyfus fund was exclusively buying stocks rising into new high-ground. Most people shudder when it comes to buying high priced stocks. I often survey students and seminar participants as to whether they would rather buy low or high priced stocks. The answer is always the same. They buy on the cheap. The problem is that studies have shown that "cheap for cheap’s sake" stocks are the very worst for your account. William J. O’Neil made himself a millionaire many times over after discovering this one simple fact. Even today I sometimes pause before buying into a high priced stock. But over time I have learned that these are far safer bets. . ========================================== IMPLEMENTATION STEP ========================================== Study lectures 7-9 of "How I Made $2,000,000 In the Stock Market." Chapter 7: The Theory Starts to Work. Nicholas Darvas sees his odds of profit rise above 50:50. This is subtle. The get rich quickers don’t understand this powerful concept. Bet a buck. Make back a buck and a penny. This is the road to riches. Chapter 8: My First Half Million. Witness the power of scaling up. Nicholas scales carefully. He uses bite sized pilot purchases of stock shares. Then he scales with leverage. The best leverage at your disposal comes from options. Most of Warren Buffets' returns are from leverage. It is worth your while to learn more about leverage. Chapter 9: My Second Crisis. What do alcoholics and panic prone people have in common? Those that become booze or panic free "fall off the wagon" part way through their treatment. The alcoholic starts drinking again. The panic prone start their negative internal dialogue again. Both end up quiting a second time. Then they go on to full recovery. It’s like they have to test themselves at a sub-conscious level. This is a weird but true fact. In this chapter you will learn that the same problem is true for great traders like Nicholas Darvas. He falls of the wagon. He goes back to his 5 bad trading habits we covered in episode 2 of this email series. ========================================== BEST BUY SIGNAL IN 200 YEARS! ========================================== Yet another student of mine is Bruce H. Bruce noticed that stocks will languish for many years. Then they make a big rise. After this already big rise the newsletters come in and recommend them. Neither analysts nor newsletters cover these stocks before their big rise. One day Bruce asked me, "How can we find these under-the-radar stocks before the big rise and before analysts and newsletter editors pick up on them?" This is an entirely different challenge. It requires much greater fortitude, independence, and self-actuation to find your own stocks. But others have succeeded in overcoming modest means and knowledge; Jesse Livermore, Nicholas Darvas, William J. O’Neil, and David Ryan are all men who made their millions from the stock market. These four men have also been kind enough to share their secrets in such a way that you can easily create a market beating stock SELECTION CRITERION for yourself. Have you heard about the best buy signal in 50 years? This is the single most powerful factor in stock selection. More on that later. In the meantime study hard.
